The Raven Age and Disconnected at the Patronaat in Haarlem!
What can I say, this was the first time seeing these two bands play live, and I'm absolutely blown away by the sheer talent and energy both brought to the stage.
Disconnected, as the opening act, immediately captured the audience's attention with their dynamic presence and powerful sound. Disconnected, a modern metal band hailing from France, has firmly established themselves with their unique fusion of melody and aggression.
Their set was an electrifying display of raw emotion and technical precision, setting the perfect tone for the evening.
And then, The Raven Age took the stage as the headliner.
Their commanding presence and masterful delivery took the experience to a whole new level. Their ability to blend melodic intensity with intricate storytelling was mesmerizing. And their connection with the audience was nothing short of magical.
It was truly an honor to not only witness these incredible performances but also to have the privilege of photographing both bands. For that, I extend my deepest gratitude.
This evening was a celebration of music, passion, and artistry.
Both Disconnected and The Raven Age have left a lasting impression, and I cannot wait to see them live again.

Our first show of 2025 and what an amazing performance it was.
AJ Plug (Alexandra Jolanda Plug) is a highly talented singer from the Dutch roots music scene. Known for her powerful voice and emotional performances, AJ Plug has become one of the most impressive female blues roots singers to emerge from the Netherlands.
AJ Plug's career took off after the release of her debut album, "Let Go or Be Dragged" in 2014. Her second album, "Chew Chew Chew", released in 2016, received rave reviews and solidified her place in the modern roots scene. She continued to tour extensively with her own band and even joined Dutch television celebrity Johan Derksen on his theatre tour, "The Sound of The Blues & Americana".
In 2018, AJ Plug recorded and released the acoustic album "Barefoot the Grolloo Takes" with her partner and guitarist, Klaas Kuijt. However, in early 2019, she faced a major setback when she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. The illness was life-threatening and required extensive treatment.
Despite the challenges, AJ Plug fought bravely and began writing again after her recovery. In late 2021, she released the album "Killer King", which dealt with her experience with illness and recovery. The album received critical acclaim and was awarded the Best Album by the Dutch Blues Foundation in March 2022.
AJ Plug continues to inspire audiences with her resilience and powerful music. Her latest album, "Underneath Your Skin", released in 2024, showcases her new sound and has been met with rave reviews.
The night at The Cube in Boskoop was amazing—AJ's performance was pure, personal, powerfull and full of emotions. The band delivered a rock-solid performance with some amazing guitar and drumsolos. The sound at The Cube was exceptional, making it a wonderful venue with friendly owners and staff. The entire organization is run by volunteers with a passion for music, and you can really feel that dedication. An unforgettable evening!

'Underneath Your Skin' is the fifth album of AJ Plug. It is released 3 years after the album 'Killer King', an album about her fight against cancer. Alexandra and her band gave a fantastic performance in Scum Katwijk.
